HERBERT WILLIAM THOMAS September 11, 1976 - February 19, 2002 Suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, February 19, 2002, Herb William Thomas, beloved son of Doreen and Murray Thomas. Besides his parents, Herb will be sadly missed by his grand-parents, Jeanne and Ted Thomas, Barbara Cardinal (Feike Buma) Al Read (birth father) and halfbrother Kellen, Cody and Devon; grandfathers, Tom Wheway, Herb Read and dear friend Tanya Trudeau. Herb will also be remembered lovingly by aunts, Denise and Darlene and uncle Len and their spouses; uncles, Terry, Greg and Herb; cousins and countless friends. Herb was predeceased by his brother Al, grandpa Len Cardinal, grandmother Dorothy Wheyway. Herb grew up and attended Ralph Maybank Elementary School in Fort Garry and also Kelvin High. Growing up Herb greatly enjoyed times spent with family and friends at Pioneer Beach. As a youngster, Herb excelled at bowling and enjoyed fishing, swimming and riding his bike. Later in life he also enjoyed video games, movies, music and spending good times with all his dear friends. Herb will be remembered by his ever-present glowing smile, his contagious laugh and his sense of humour. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., with Pastor Jeff Romas officiating.
