CATHERINE (KAY) SMITH (nee Fotheringham) On February 21, 2002 Catherine (Kay) Smith, passed away at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Bay, at age 87, after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Edward Smith; her parents, Thomas and Janet Fotheringham and her brother Victor Fotheringham. She is survived by her brother, Howard Fotheringham (Audrey) and sister-in-law Alice Fotheringham. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Denver, Ranklin Inlet and Chicago. Kay was employed by the T. Eaton Company for over 50 years and had many fond memories of the people she worked with and the customers she met during those years. She was a member and worker at Old Kildonan Presbyterian Church during her entire lifetime. She was also a 50-year member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter F. The family wishes to thank the staff and management of Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Bay, especially nurses Chris, Betty, Donna and volunteer Doris for their care and thoughtfulness over the past years. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Private family interment will be in Old Kildonan Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
