Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER JOSEPH ARMETTE Peacefully on February 21, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by loved ones, Walter Joseph Armette passed away at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn and to carry on his memories are his wife of 46 years, Joyce, his son Lorne (Wendy), daughters, Wanda (Paul), and Brenda (Tim) grandchildren, Amber, Craig, Robin, Brittany, Serenity and Tim Jr, who will all miss those barn dances. He also leaves behind his loving sister Pearl (Chester) and many nieces, nephews, cousins along with a special member of the family Jeff Hamilton and those friends who shared a laugh or two and made him smile. Walter worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years. His favourite pastimes were curling, fishing, hunting, and puttering around. He was an avid member of the Brooklands Rod and Gun Club and he dearly loved his cottage time. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Pastor Andrew Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a gathering of family and friends in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and incredible nursing assistants, (Bea) who made his last days comfortable and were supportive to both Walter and his family.
