THOMAS DONALD BULLOCH 1925-2002 Don passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 22, 2002. He was born on November 22, 1925 in Winnipeg to Thomas Henry and Beatrice May (Blow) Bulloch. Don is survived by his loving wife Marguerite and his children and grandchildren, Alyson; Tom and Lynda, Rob and Cam; Fred and Lezley, Matty, Malcolm and Angus; Andrew; Rolanda and Dennis, Graham, Denisa, Alana-Dawn and Laura Eirikson; Marilyn, Leanne and Darren Howlett; and Bruce and Phyllis, Jack and Scott Henderson. He was predeceased by his dear wife Marilyn, his parents and his sister Marianne. Dons zest for life was felt by his many friends and business associates throughout his life and in his many volunteer activities. Honouring his memory are his lifelong friends Bob and Rae Spear, Bill and Nora Abbott, Harold and Betty Gyles, Bill and Donna Parrish and Margo McVey. Together they shared the hijinks of youth, the fellowship of hunting and the constancy of friendship. Don was proud to begin his working life with his father and subsequently to own and manage Bullochs Ltd. on his fathers passing. When he had developed the business to its potential he then chose to move into his own venture with the T. Bulloch Co. He was fulfilled by his work with the Workers Compensation Board and the Public Utilities Board. He never really did retire, taking his coffee down to his office every morning to oversee Mar-Don Incinerators Ltd. Many in the community appreciated Dons leadership in Winnipeg Rotary, Khartum Temple and the 67 Pam Am Games. Service to his community was vital to his life and he continued to value the fellowship of voluntarism at his church through the Westminister United Church Housing Cooperative and the Guild of the Victoria General Hospital. Fatherhood was a role Don took seriously and raising his children well was very important to him. Becoming a grandfather and celebrating the adventures of his 13 grandchildren meant a story or anecdote for all to hear. Don had his passions and everyone who knew him is the proud owner of at least one carving. He also had his opinions and it didnt take much to find out what he thought about pretty much anything. He wondered lately what the world would be like without "Old Dad". We wondered too. REST IN PEACE The family would like to thank Dr. David Young for his compassionate care over the past year. A celebration of Dons life will be held on Monday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Ave. with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. A private family interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dons memory to the Guild of the Victoria General Hospital, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
