JEAN MARIE FINKLEMAN (nee PERKINS) Jean Marie Finkleman was born in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England on February 15, 1922 to Mr. and Mrs. James Perkins. Throughout her early years, she received some of her education in England before settling in Winnipeg, MB with her mother, father and brother Dennis. A beautiful young lady, she met and married Manuel Finkleman on July 6, 1941. The following year, their first child James Manuel was born at the Royal Canadian Air Force Station in McCleod, AB where they remained until the wars end, before returning to Winnipeg. In 1958 their second son Glen David was born. Jean was a wonderful homemaker and mother and she devoted her life to her family and friends. She loved animals and throughout her life her pet dogs were very much a part of the family. She leaves to mourn Manuel Finkleman (Millie) her elder son, James Manuel (Carol) son Glen David; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Feldman, Ruth Finkleman, Tootsie Fingold (Nate) brother-in-law Harry Finkleman (Annette Kaell) also numerous relatives and friends. Jean was a very loving, generous and giving person in her life and she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her and her memory will live in our hearts forever. Flowers are respectfully declined and donations may be made in Jeans name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. A service to celebrate Jeans life will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
