Ross Edward Stewart will be remembered with the love, affection and admiration of those who knew him. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Edythe Stewart and his brother Mel, Ross leaves to mourn his loving family and many friends. He will be missed by his beloved wife Mary; sons, Kevin and Paul and their mother Lucille (Babs) daughters-in-law, Gladys and Dawn; grandsons, Graham, Lawrence and Paddy, his grand-daughter Zoe; and Marys children, Bob Grierson, Marilyn Rhind, Joanne Weston, Nancy Occhipinti and their families; his sister-in-law Phyllis; nephew Norman and his wife Cathy and their family. At a loss without him, will be his lifelong best friend and sidekick George Ewing. The father that was always there for his boys as children, be it camping, scouting or activities at Riverview Community Club, was always there for his boys as adults. Ross was involved with their car restorations, home renovations and the daily lives of his sons. His grandchildren too, knew how much he loved them. He supported their school plays, hockey, building projects and other endeavours. Ross spent his working years as an insurance underwriter, retiring in 1987 from the Prudential Assurance Company. Ross was a long-time member of the South Winnipeg Kiwanis Club, served on its Board of Directors and participated with all of his Kiwanian friends in club activities. He loved the lake and spending summers at Victoria Beach. Ross would have celebrated his 80th birthday on March 24, 2002. Grateful thanks to Dr. S. Permack and all the caring staff at the Victoria General Hospital. According to Rosss wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
