VIOLET EVELIN IRWIN On February 23, 2002, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Violet Evelin Irwin (nee Gordon) passed away peacefully, after a short illness. She was 76 years of age and the beloved wife of Robert for 52 years. Violet was born in Winter, SK on April 18, 1925, and raised in Snowden, SK. Vi has resided in Lac du Bonnet for the past 16 years. Vi was predeceased by her infant daughter Brenda Anne; her parents, Anne and William Gordon; and her brothers, Art, Alex, Walter, and Jim. Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Robert; son Ron Irwin (Laurie) daughter Pam Boboski (Dennis) grandchildren, Tracy Tencha (Paul), Jason and David Irwin, and Trevor and Andy Boboski; great-granddaughter Lexie Tencha; her brother Neil (Freda) sisters, Lucille, Edith, Mae, Norma, and Vivian. Vi was a wonderful mother and friend. She was a considerate, loving person who was loved by all who knew her. A special thanks to all the doctors and nurses that took care of Violet through her last weeks. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lions Eye Bank, Room 439 West, 99 Cornish Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1A2, or a charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception to follow.
