ROSE BODNARUK Nee (SHERBANOWSKI) It is with great sorrow that the family of Rose Bodnaruk, age 81, announces her passing on Monday, February 25, 2002 at her Concordia Place residence. Rose was predeceased by her husband William in 1988. She is survived by her eight children, Donald (Grace), Jeanette, Raymond (Ingrid), Brian (Yvette), Elaine (John), Larry (friend Marion), Robert (Audrey), Glenn (Sandy) her grandchildren, Gale (Dave), Lorraine, Donald, Stacey, Darren, Kody, Dustin, Tammy, Jillian, Jill, Richard, Crystal (Glenn), Colin, Julie, Kyle and her great-grandchild Chelsea. Rose was born January 26, 1921 in the town of Foley (near Gimli, MB). She was one of 14 children of Harry and Nettie Sherbanowski. Rose attended Willow Creek School and at the age of 19, married her husband Bill. They eventually settled in Highland Glen, MB, where they operated a mixed farm. Rose was particularly known for her vegetable stand on Highway 44. Mom was also renowned for her cooking and gardening skills and her fondness of all living things. Viewing will take place on Thursday, February 28 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m. also at Klassen Funeral Home, Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Interment is to follow in the Little Britain United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to the Humane Society or a charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
