Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySISTER RITA KILLEEN Sister Rita Killeen of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul died on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston, ON. Born in Perth, ON on March 2, 1921, Sister Rita was predeceased by her parents, Alphonsus and Matilda (Egan) by brothers, Alphonsus and William; by sisters, Margaret SP, Aileen, Dorothy, and Carmel SP. She is survived by her brother Gerald (Ethel) of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Christine of Sudbury. Although she suffered from ill health most of her life, Sister Rita joyfully ministered to others in culinary arts, in childcare and in pastoral care. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends, and by the members of her religious community. Resting at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess St. Friday, March 1 from 2:00 p.m., the Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Mary Mother of Compassion, Providence Motherhouse, on Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal St. Marys Cemetery, Kingston, ON.
