Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSALIE ELLA TOEWS Peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family, Rosalie Ella Toews passed from this life into the closer presence of God on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Resthaven Personal Care Home in Steinbach, MB. Rosalie is survived by her sons, David Toews (Viola), Allan Toews (Johanne) and by her daughter Marguerite (Jim) Newton; grand-children, Paul (Melodie), Jennifer (Rod), Allison, Kelly, Robyn and Caroline; as well as great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristine, Julia and Tristan; sister Johanna Blunt; brothers, Albert Toews and Vernon Toews. Rosalie was predeceased by Abram, her beloved husband of 53 years; her father Julius Toews; and mother Helen Toews; and brothers, Harvey, Beno and Lenard. Rosalie was born in 1914 in Burwalde, MB and resided for most of her life in Steinbach, MB. In 1935 Rosalie married Abram Toews and began a marriage full of mutual love, devotion and commitment. Rosalies life was characterized by her love for books, music and many happy summers spent at the family cottage at Star Lake. As one of the founding members of Grace Mennonite Church in Steinbach, church participation was an important aspect of her life. Rosalies family especially wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Resthaven who cared for her with exceptional compassion and dedication. The service in celebration of Rosalies life will be held at Loewen Funeral Chapel, 5 Chrysler Gate, Steinbach, on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Dave Bergen officiating.
