Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID CHARLES GREEN Died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC on Saturday, February 23, 2002 surrounded by his family and friends. David is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Dianne; his son Vincent and wife Tammy; his son Joel and wife Amber and their daughter Anais; his son David William and wife Greta; his brother Raymond and wife Carol and their daughter Tracy and son Raymond and wife Linda and their children, Summer and Carbon; his brother Wayne and wife Diane and his children, Cheryl and Dean; his brother Greg; his brother Lorne and children, Michelle and Kenny; his sister Debbie and husband Paul; and his sister Donna. David worked for Revenue Canada Customs, Excise and Taxation for 37 years, starting his career as a stock clerk in Winnipeg and retiring in 1994 as Director General of Human Resources in Ottawa. He is remembered as a strong leader whose innovative management style brought out the best in his colleagues and employees in departmental offices across Canada. Outside of work, Davids creative pursuits included pottery, drawing, writing fiction, writing plays produced by Popular Theatre Alliance of Manitoba, writing screenplays, song writing, and making music on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and flutes. David will be missed by family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, corner of Wilkes and Waverley, Winnipeg on Friday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cancer Society.
