MARJORIE MAUD HARRISON Suddenly, on February 28, 2002 Marjorie Maud Harrison passed away. She was born August 4, 1922 in East St. Paul, MB, attended school in Birds Hill and has been a resident of St. James for over 50 years. She is survived by her only sister Audrey McCall and husband John, nephews, Harrison McCall, Andrew McCall and wife Claudia; one cousin Shirley Legary, her husband Eldon and their family. She was the daughter of Walter John Harrison and Maud Remelia Harrison who were long-time residents of East Kildonan and Birds Hill. Marjorie served in the Womens Airforce during the Second World War and kept in touch with her airforce friends through the years. She worked for the Federated Insurance Company for over 40 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a charter member of the St. James Business & Professional Club (B & P). Marjorie was a life time member of the St. James United Church serving in the choir, the U.C.W. and was on the Executive Committee of the board. She was involved with many of the social and fund raising activities at the church - she loved organizing. "Marge" as she was known to her family and friends, was a very thoughtful and kind person, always helping someone. She had a great sense of humour and had a very calm and positive outlook on life. She enjoyed music, needlework, photography and travelled extensively to many parts of the world, enjoying visits to California and England, in particular. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. in St. James United Church, 234 Parkview St. with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating.
