Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTAN MOORE On Friday, March 1, 2002, in the presence of some of his family and his second wife Eleanor, Stan Moore, went to our mother, Joan. Born in London, England, September 3, 1921. Stan joined the RAF July 1, 1941, saw action over Europe. Shot down in 1943, he parachuted into Germany and was rescued by the French Underground, transported to Spain, betrayed and interned for three months. He was decorated for his services to his country and proudly wore his "Caterpillar" on all formal occasions. In April 1944, he married Joan Clark. They immigrated to Canada in 1946 with daughter Janet. Stan enlisted with the RCAF and also worked on behalf of the USAF until his retirement, 1962. He then began a second career as an entrepreneur establishing Viscount Trailers, Argosy Travel, becoming the owner of thoroughbred racing stock at Assiniboia Downs, and even a candy store! Lovingly remembered by his children for 51 years of marriage he shared with our mother (deceased 1995) and us: Janet (Ted), Brenda (Brian), Terry (Larry), Karyn and Kevin (Karla). Also by his grandchildren, Robert, Holly (Scott), Eilean, Meagan, Jessica, Samantha and Jason James (J.J.). A memorial service pending with Cropo Funeral Services. No flowers please. Charitable donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Canadian Juvenile Diabetes Association. "Mom and Dad, together again."
