MARLENE DIANE SCAMMELL (BAKER) Peacefully, on March 1, 2002, with her family by her side, Marlene, beloved wife and mother, passed away at the Health Sciences Center after a brief illness. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Lyle; children, Tracy (Lawrence), Cherie (Brian), and Curtis; brother Brian Baker; and beloved dogs, Maitai and Caesar. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Casmir (1977) and Mary (1992). Marlene was passionate about her family. Her children were a source of great pride to her. She was never happier than when her family was gathered together. She was a devoted wife who strived to give her family only the very best. Marlene was employed in the family business, CanPay Computer Software Ltd., as the Office Manager. Marlene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew her. At Marlenes request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Voyage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3.
