MARGARET (MARDI) GREY MURRAY HODGSON Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Betel Home, Selkirk, Mardi passed away in her 92nd year. Mardi lived all of her life in Selkirk and was active in Knox Presbyterian Church and with organizations such as the Business and Professional Womens Club. She was a strong and resourceful person, with clarity of conviction, but malice to no one. She worked diligently throughout her life in support of her family, who loved her dearly. Mardi was predeceased by her parents, Alice and James Miller; sisters, Alice, Edith, Anne and Mae and by her brother Hugh. She is survived by her sisters, Laura Munson, Iris (Glen) Lawson and Shirley (Maurice) Romanoff; son James (Sandy) Hodgson of Windsor, ON; daughter Donna (Brian) Laxdal of Mississauga, ON; brother-in-law Gunnar Johannson; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 2:30 p.m. in the Knox Presbyterian Church, Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB with Rev. Ted Hicks officiating. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Mardis memory to the Knox Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of ones choice.
