MARGARET JOHNSON On Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at Deer Lodge Centre. Margaret leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Gudrun (Scott) Davidson of Calgary, AB. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, John Marteinn Viglundsson and Svava Johnson; her brother John Clarence Johnson and her sister-in-law Lilja Soffia Johnson. Auntie Margaret will forever be missed by her nieces and nephew. Her generosity, unconditional love and pride in all their endeavours will always be remembered. Her keen sense of humour and quick wit kept them all amused. Auntie Margaret could always be counted on to have a small bag of candy in her purse. Born on March 20, 1925 in Gimli, MB, Margaret attended school in Gimli until moving to Winnipeg to attend Success Business College. She worked for Dr. I. Wolch as a dental assistant for almost all of her working life. She was honoured at a Canadian Dental Nurses and Assistants Conference for her loyalty and faithfulness when she received a Certificate for her many years of service with one dentist. After her retirement, when fixing something, she would often be heard muttering, Oh, I wish I had my air gun. It would be just the thing here - blow the dirt right out of here. Margaret enjoyed travelling, especially her trips to Iceland and Britain. Going to the cottage, in Gimli, a walk down the dock and a drive around town, to recall who lived where when she was young, was always seen as real entertainment. Margaret loved to shop and was seldom seen without her shopping bag. Many a shopping bag would hold her knitting, crocheting, or some sewing project in the works. Margaret showed her strength of character and determination when after a knee replacement, was up and running in no time. She was just as determined to get up and go after her stroke, but the fight proved too much for her. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at First Lutheran Church, 580 Victor St. with Pastor Michael Kurtz officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
