VERONICA PORUBANEC Veronica Porubanec, aged 86, formerly of Toronto, passed away Monday March 4, 2002 at the home of her daughter. Born in Winnipeg, MB, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Hnydka) Slywchuk. Veronica was a loving mother and housewife. She is survived by daughters, Pat Wuerfel and Eileen Porubanec; granddaughter Sharon Moe, Timberlea; nieces, Deanna Dobbish, Toronto and Nadia Dolenka, Winnipeg; and nephew, Wayne Milbank, Aurora, ON. She was predeceased by her husband, John Porubanec, sisters, Marie, Catherine, Helen, and Sonya. A private family service will be held Friday, March 8 at the residence of her Daughter Pat Wuerfel. Burial in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Toronto. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
