CARL BERGSON Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in Oakview Place Nursing Home, Carl passed away at the age of 76 years. Carl was predeceased by his wife Shirley; two sisters, Nellie and Violet. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Lorelee (Bob) son Glen (Carol) five grandchildren, Sheryl (John), Sharon (Aaron), Carol-Noel, Gennifer and Sarah, and sister Suava. Carl was born in Leifur, MB, the only son of Karl and Lillian. He was raised and educated in Manitoba. Carl served his country in the Second World War with Lord Strathcona Horse Artillery Unit. Upon his return to Manitoba, he married Shirley in 1947, and they moved to Winnipeg. Carl was employed as a truck driver for approximately 17 years. He retired in 1991 from Westroc Industries. Dad enjoyed his retirement years, spending time at the cottage in Ontario. He relished being able to drive the John Deere, getting outdoors, helping with yard work and spending time with the dogs. In keeping with Carls wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3.
