ELDON CHARLES STOREY (JOHN)
Born: Jun 20, 1930
Date of Passing: Feb 22, 2002
Offer Condolences or MemoryELDON CHARLES STOREY (known as AS JOHN) Eldon was born on June 20, 1930. He passed away peacefully on February 22, 2002. He was from Darlingford, MB where he received his education at the Barclay Country School and at Darlingford School. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Alice Storey; two brothers, Bill and Allan; and two infant children. Eldon is survived by his wife Roberta of 48 years and family Wilmer of Cartwright, Lenard of Estevan, Louise of Brandon, Brent of Deloraine; two sisters, Edith Langsth of Manitou and Bertha Guderian of Morden; two sisters-in-law, Marlyn Storey of Morden and Joyce Reid of BC; and nieces and nephews. Eldon had a full life being a man of many trades - Manitoba Hydro, grainbuyer, at Wassewa Ransom water wells, mechanic, veterinarian assistant blood testing cattle. He farmed 1/4 section in the Mountainside district and worked about 21 years for the Park Branch Deparment at Lakes Adam, Max and William. He was well known for his humour and wit. He would say people may pay their respect by doing for others while they are living by trying to understand the troubles and faults others have by not criticising others unless you have walked in their shoes, by not censuring others harshly particularly those who cannot defend themselves and leaving the passing of judgment of others to the good Lord God. He is going to be greatly missed by his family. May he now rest in peace and with comfort.
