HELEN WIEBE (nee KLASSEN) Peacefully, on Thursday, March 7, 2002, our mother, Helen Wiebe passed away at Bethania Personal Care Home at the age of 93 years. She was born in South Russia on September 1, 1908 and immigrated to Canada in 1925. Mother will be lovingly remembered by her family, son George (Irene) daughters Irma Thomas and Margaret (Wayne) Handford; six grandchildren, Brent (Susan), Lisa (Doug), Trevor, Robert (Rosalind), Tara (Kyle), Dana; five great-grandchildren, Devin, Tori, Jaxson, Cole and Leah, all of Winnipeg, MB. Helens funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Ave. with Rev. Franz Wiebe officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Our family would like to thank all the staff of the South Wing at Bethania Personal Care Home.
