Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERTHA STARR (nee ROULETTE) 1925 - 2002 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving companion, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grand-mother on March 4, 2002 in Portage la Prairie, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Angus Starr; her parents, Lizette and Alfred Roulette; two brothers, Lloyd and Eddie; one son Charlie; three daughters, Verna, Lindeen, and Freida; one grandson Angus Starr; and one great-great-grandson Anthony Strong. She leaves to mourn her second husband Frank Beaulieu; children, Doreen (Tony) Strong, Mary (Bryan) Daniuk, Edward (Sonia) Starr, Harry (Gloria) Starr, Olga (Tony) Whitford, Waltrina (Walter) McIvor, Judy (Wayne) Schneider, Charlene (Ryan) McKay; two brothers, Robert and William; 32 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Bertha was born in Sandy Bay on May 10, 1925. She resided there all of her life. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to raising her children. She prided herself in her gardening and flowers, sewing, quilting, and canning. She was a very strong and self-sufficient woman who taught us all the meaning of family, togetherness, and faith in our creator. Dearest mother you are sleeping, Free from sorrow, free from pain, Still your memory shall be cherished, Till in Heaven we meet again. A loving mother, true and kind, A beautiful memory left behind. We love you. Funeral service was held on Friday, March 8 at 12:00 p.m. in Our Lady Of The Angels Catholic Church, Amaranth, MB, with Fr. Mike Nwosu officiating. Interment followed in the Sandy Bay Cemetery. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone, in care of arrangements.
