ROBERT DANIEL YOUNG SR. The death of Robert Daniel Young Sr. occurred on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at the Souris District Hospital, Souris, MB. He was in his 87th year, and was predeceased by his wife Noreen in May 2000. Bob leaves to mourn his two sons, Bob (Maureen) of Souris, MB, and Tom (Diane) of Vancouver, BC; his grandchildren, Beth, Roberta, Jackie and Brett; his brother Irving (Grace) and his sisters, Phyllis Rugg of Winnipeg, Audrey Wilson (Garth) of Victoria, BC, and Clarene Gault of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Annie; and his brothers, Wilfred and Lawrence. Bob spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He and Noreen retired to Kelowna, BC in 1988 only to return to Souris in 1993 to spend their remaining years closer to their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Bob served with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War as an air gunner and was a partner in Brett-Young Seeds for many years. Bobs constant smile and sense of humour will be remembered by all. A memorial service and interment in the Souris cemetery will take place at a later date.
