HAZEL PARSONS 1927-2002 Suddenly, on Sunday, March 10, 2002, at the Grace General Hospital, Hazel passed away, surrounded by her family. Left to cherish Hazels memory is her loving husband of 52 years, Les; sons, Gary (Carolyn) and Terry (Leslie) and her precious grandchildren, Erin, Lauren, Kevin, Colin and Keith. She also leaves a sister Clara (Alfred) Savard; brother-in-law Frank (Grace) Parsons; sisters-in-law, Edna Parsons and Hilda McSloy; as well as many nieces and nephews. Hazel was predeceased by her parents; sister Muriel Johnston; brother Bill McSloy; brothers-in-law, Herbert Johnston and Fred Parsons and sister-in-law Edna Knight. Hazel lived all of her life in Winnipeg, and nearly 52 years in the same house with Les. Her family and friends meant so very much to her. Spending time with others, especially the children, brought her a great deal of happiness. Everyone loved to hear Hazies laugh. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the I.C.U. and 4th floor south of the Grace General Hospital for their tremendous care and support during Hazels final hours. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hazels memory, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
