Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY THEODORE BJORK March 25, 1927 - March 11, 2002 Peacefully at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg with nephew Andy, wife Kathy, and sister-in-law Audrey at his side, Roy entered eternal rest. Roy was predeceased by his nephew David, a brother Andrew, and by his parents, Andrew and Minnie. Roy leaves to cherish his memory one sister Mabel Halgren of Thunder Bay, ON, one brother Gordon Bjork of Bissett, and a sister-in-law Audrey Bjork of Manigotagan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. As a young man Roy worked various jobs in the Bissett area. Later he worked for Cure Transportation for a number of years delivering mail and transporting passengers from Pine Falls to Bissett. Roy went on to work for Frontier School Division transporting students until his retirement. While at the Frontier School Division, Roy thoroughly enjoyed the company of fellow employees Wesley Simard and Joseph Moneyas. Through his friendship with Wes, Roy found a skilled carpenter to build his home in which he was very proud of. While in good health, Roy could be seen at Wynnes Place in Bissett for his daily coffee. Roy enjoyed his years in Bissett where he lived most of his life. In October of 2001 Roys health started to fail which ultimately led to him residing at the Pine Falls Health Complex. Uncle Roy was a very kind and gentle man. Despite his health conditions Roy was always in good spirits, always comical, making people laugh with his great sense of humour. Roy will always hold a special place in the lives of the people he touched. The family would like to thank Dr. Oelofse and all of the nursing staff of the Pine Falls Health Complex and also to the nursing staff of the Grace Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. from the Manigotagan Community Centre, Manigotagan, MB, with Pastor Victor Funk officiating. Friends may pay their respects one hour prior to services at the community centre. In accordance with Roys wishes, he will be buried beside his brother in the Manigotagan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Andy, Alex, Dwight, Justin, and special friends, Wesley Simard and Walter Wood.
