EMILY LAMBERT (nee LAZOR) Peacefully on March 13, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer, Emily passed away at the age of 72 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Denis; and sons, Andre (Shelley), Maurice (Wendy) and grand-children, Abigail and Elizabeth; Gerald (Carmen) and grandchildren, Joshua and Jordyn. Emily was predeceased by her brothers, Russ, Emil, John; and sister Mary. She is survived by brothers, Ray, Wally; and sisters, Anne, Ellen, Bertha and Florence. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, Ray, Roger and Marcel; and sisters-in-law, Kathy, Lillian and Annette. Grandma was born in Saskatchewan, but moved to Winnipeg in the early 50s where she met and eventually married Denis. Shortly after, they relocated to Kenora where their three sons were born. Upon relocating back to Winnipeg, Emily spent much of her time raising "her boys". Emilys great pride and joy in her life were her children and grandchildren. Emilys other passions were golf, bingo, bowling and crocheting. She will always be remembered for her celebration of holidays, birthdays and especially family Christmas Eves at her home. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Emilys life will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Reception to follow.
