GORDON DANZINGER It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon on Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the age of 65 years. Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife Maureen; his daughters, Norinne (Wes) Dueck, Joanna Danzinger; granddaughter Emily Ann Dueck. Also left to cherish his memory is his mother Josephine; brothers, Rudy (Fran) Danzinger, Leonard (Lynn) Danzinger; nieces, nephews and many friends. Gordon was born and raised in the North End of Winnipeg. He later maintained a dental practice there for 35 years. He recently received his lifetime membership from the Manitoba Dental Society. Gordon enjoyed being with nature. He took pride in his many flower gardens, especially growing lilies. He was an active director of the Manitoba Horticultural Society, therefore representing a number of horticultural groups and was a founding member of the Manitoba Lily Society. He always looked forward to summer. This summer was especially special and he was looking forward to digging worms and growing "little" flowers with his granddaughter. He had a friendly garden and barbecuing rivalry with his longtime neighbour Henry. He enjoyed fishing with his pal Nick at the family cottage on the Winnipeg River near Kenora. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in Gordons memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
