ANTHONY FREDERICK TRENT (AMEE) GUIMOND Tragically on Friday, March 15, 2002, he went to be with our Lord at the age of 18 years. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Boniface and Elixabeth Guimond; grandpa Bob McGuire, Michael (Porky) Courchene; uncles, Sonny, Vince, Pixie, Wayne and Bradley; two sisters, Tamara and Sunshine; auntie Viola and dad Rudy. He leaves to cherish his memory his mom Sheryl Ann and Darrin St. Germaine; grannies, Rita Fontaine and Susan Courchene; his common-law wife Joy Sawchyn and their daughter Tamara. Also surviving are his brothers, Ernie and Tyler; sisters, Tara and Buffy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Anthony attended Sagkeeng High School, grade 11. He had many friends. He played midget hockey for three years, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse. He was working at the paper mill for high school co-op. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ill lend you for a little time, a child of mine, He said, For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead. It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three, But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? Hell bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, Youll have his lovely memories, as solace for your grief. I cannot promise he will stay, since all from Earth return, But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child to learn. Ive looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true, And from the throngs that crowd lifes lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate Me when I come to call, to take him back again? I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, Thy will be done, For all the joy thy child shall bring, the risk of grief well run. Well shelter him with tenderness, well love him while we may, And for the happiness weve known, will ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for him, much sooner than we planned, Well brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand. Wake services will be held at the St. Alexander RC Church, Fort Alexander, MB. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 2:00 p.m. also from the Church with Fr. Laval Cloutier and Fr. Randall Morrisseau officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Manny Guimond, Kevin Courchene, Justin Guimond, Gabe Swampy Jr., Farrell Guimond, Jason Letender, Mike Fontaine and David Hart. RUSSELL FUNERAL HOMES LTD. & CREMATORIUM of Beausejour, MB are in care of arrangements. Call 1-866-424-6271 or toll free 268-2263.
