ESPIRITU Peacefully, with his family at his side, Reynaldo passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 46. Reynaldo was born in San Clemente, Tarlac, Philippines and came to Canada in 1989. His family followed in 1995. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Norina; daughter Reyca (Gerwin) son Reymund; parents, Agrifina and Moises; parents-in-law, Veronica and Benito. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Renato (Clarita), Nanding (Lita) sisters, Luz (Presco - deceased), Mila (Danny), Nida (Phil) many, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Winnipeg, Toronto, Australia, California and the Philippines. He will be especially missed by Allan and Mariah. Uncle Rey was a very loving and caring person and devoted his time to his family. He loved to help people and his love of children was exceptional. Before his illness, he was fond of helping his parents seniors group on their occasions. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Navaratnam, Dr. Paul Kerr and Dr. Chaudhury from CancerCare (Health Sciences Centre), to all the staff of the Palliative Care Unit (8th floor) at St. Boniface Hospital. Great appreciation goes to all their friends who made visits, sent flowers and notes, held prayers, brought meals and who gave support. Lamay will be held on Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22, 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Marys Cathedral (downtown), 353 St. Mary Ave., with Fr. Darren Gurr officiating. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alex Regis (his best friend), James dela Cruz, Nestor Pagaduan, Efren Quintos, Nards Laoag and Roger Laoag.
