SISTER JEANNE JOBIN (S. ST. ELISABETH) On March 17, 2002, Jeanne Jobin made her passage peacefully into the house of the Father. Her brother Albert, omi, whom she prayed to come and get her, answered her prayer on the anniversary of his own death a year ago. Jeanne was 89 years old - 53 of which in the religious life. Jeanne was born in Saint-Sauveur, QC. Her father, Wilfrid Jobin was from Saint-Jean-Baptiste, QC, and her mother, Amanda Paradis from Ancienne Lorette, QC. Jeanne was the fourth of a family of seven children of which one son only became an Oblate of Mary Immaculate. None of the girls married and Jeanne was the last survivor. No nieces nor nephews to carry her memory. However the members of her Congregation keep the best of souvenirs of her as well as very dear friends, Yolande and Lucille Freynet who showered her with affection and attention. Jeanne had a charming personality; pleasant, gentle, loyal, devoted and charitable. Her health was delicate. Her beautiful eyes shone with joy when she was well dressed "a real little lady". She had a knack as seamstress and put that talent to good use. She liked things "well" done - a touch of perfectionism. "Jeanne you are now where all is "well" done. Rejoice!" The Cropo Funeral Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, March 21 at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Mother House at 601 Aulneau St., Winnipeg, and the Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on the same day and at the same place at 1:30 p.m. Fr. Albert Bouffard, omi, will preside the celebration. The interment will take place on Friday, March 22 at 10:15 a.m. in the cemetery on Archibald Street. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
