VALERIE GALE PLANT November 2, 1948 - March 18, 2002 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Valerie Gale Plant. Valerie was predeceased by her father (Jim) Walter Henry Plant. She is survived by her friend and companion, Giles Talbot-Kelly; her mother Marian; her brother David and wife Janice; nieces, Jocelyn and Jessica; relatives and friends. Valeries great love and lifetime work was her art. This included land and seascapes, florae, anthroporgraphics, portraits and abstract expressionist pieces - in oils, acrylics, watercolours, oil conte, ink and mix media. She created montages and collages and many drawings. Her sense of colour and paint techniques were exceptionally rich and strong. Her work was a reflection of the person within; she lived life boldly and with rich colour and enthusiasm. Her work will keep her spirit with us forever. Pallbearers will be Bob Hercina, George Kent, Brian Whiteside, Tyler Picken, Chris Parkinson and John LaVery. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. 1 East at Green Acres Lane. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
