AGNES PEARL BROWN (nee OWEN) 1899 - 2002 Peacefully in the early morning hours of April 2, 2002, at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home, in her 103rd year, our mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away. Pearl was born on August 19, 1899, at the family farm in Graysville, MB. On March 22, 1922, she married Thomas Henry Brown, and together they farmed in the Stephenfield area until 1964. They then moved to Eriksdale, MB, where they purchased the Art and Lucy Lindell farm. Although she was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1983, she continued to live on the farm until July of 1999. Due to the decline in her health, she moved to the Eriksdale Personal Care Home. Pearl enjoyed the flowers she grew and tending to her garden. She especially loved to cook and relished in the company of friends and family. Pearl enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo. She was a member of the United Church and volunteered her time to the U.C.W. Pearl leaves to mourn her son John (Kathleen) of Eriksdale, daughter Minnie (Garth) of Winnipeg. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Brad (Judy), Daryl (Robyn) great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Emily; five stepgrandchildren, Everatte (Diane), Shrylene (Ron), Ina (Larry), Wendy (Dennis), Cathy (Keith) along with numerous stepgreat-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters. Pearl was a loving caring mother and will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre, with Rev. Melanie Kauppila officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the Recreational Centre. Interment to follow in the Scotch Bay Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Scotch Bay Cemetery Maintenance Fund, care of Phyllis Lamb, General Delivery, Eriksdale, MB, R0C 0W0, or to the Eriksdale Personal Care Home. Our thanks to Dr. Steyn and the Personal Care Home staff for the loving care they provided our Mom. A special thank you to Margaret Torgerson for all your visits and the kindness you showed our Mom.
