Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE (JEAN) LIEBZEIT (nee KENNEDY) On Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Jean Cecelia Liebzeit, aged 86 years, of Winnipeg. Jean was predeceased by her husband Frank Liebzeit in 1987. She was born in Winnipeg on June 1, 1915, daughter of John Kennedy and Mary Elisabeth (MacKenzie) Kennedy; she grew up in Winnipeg, where she attended St. Marys Catholic School, and later worked at Eatons. She and Frank were married in September 1941, and started their family the following year. Their seven children kept her quite busy for the next several years. Her home and family were most important to Jean, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons, Frank, Jim (Kelley), Dan (Jennine) four daughters, Jane, Donna Lord (Doug), Carol Huminicki (Patrick), and Pat Davey, all presently residing in Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were so dear to her and who all loved her dearly: Jolanta, Mark, Preston (Lori and Ashlynn), Jesse, Lisa (Conrad Lauer, Paige and Cassidy), Michelle, Danielle, McKenzie, Zachary, Ron, Nick, Carter, Christian, and Erin. She is also survived by one brother Joseph Patrick Kennedy, of Winnipeg; two nieces, five nephews, and many cousins. Pallbearers will be sons, Jim and Dan; sons-in-law, Patrick Huminicki and Ron Boyko; grandsons, Mark Liebzeit, and Jesse Lord; granddaughters, Danielle and Michelle Huminicki. Son Frank will be honorary pallbearer. Viewing to be held between 11:30 and 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 23, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Grant and Roblin, with Fr. B. Schoonbaert and Msgr. S. Jaworski officiating. Interment will be after the mass, at Green Acres Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital: Dr. B. Light, Dr. K. Warrian; nurses, Christine, Janice, Brian, Wanda, Trica and all the others, who took such special care of our mother and grand-mother. We especially thank Chaplain Timothy Fenlon for his care, kindness, patience and compassion extended to all members of our family at this difficult time. As well, our sincere thanks for the support and kindness provided by the V.O.N. and Home Care Service. As well, we wish to thank Dr. M. Dillon, her family doctor, for his care and concern.
