BEATRICE (CASEY) ARNOTT (nee CASEMORE) Beatrice (Casey) Arnott, born May 8, 1910, passed away peacefully in Vernon, BC on March 4, 2002. Survived by daughters, Carol (Stan) Mark of Kamloops and Judy (Don Jones) Thom of Vernon; and her loving grandsons, Brent (Lynn) Diemert and Brian (Trish) Diemert who were special to her; and great-grandchildren, Danielle, Dustin, Alyssa, Jacquelyn and Katlyn. "Casey" was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Guy Thomas in 1979 and her brother Jim (Grace) and her sister Margaret (Jim). Casey was born in Carroll, MB and lived there all of her school life, until she moved to Winnipeg, MB and graduated from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1931. Guy and Casey lived in Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon as she and Guy travelled with Guys long career with the CPR. They retired in 1973 to Victoria, BC where she lived until 1998 when she moved to Vernon. Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma will be always remembered for her sweet and sunny disposition, her love of family and wonderful wit, which she maintained all her life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. in Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 4275 Falaise Dr., Victoria, BC. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Caseys memory. Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services, Kelowna, (250) 762-2299.
