REGINA JOSEPHINE WINIASZ (nee JOHNSON) On Thursday, March 22, 2002, after a lengthy illness, Regina, aged 77, passed away peacefully at her residence. Regina was born in St. Boniface on November 9, 1924. She resided for many years in the north-end where she and her late husband Frank Winiasz raised their family. She is survived by her children, Lillian (Donald) Hamilton, Theodore, Joyce Prins and Harvey; grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer), Karen (Ken) Libich, Roger (Lori), Peter, Melanie, Todd (Carrie), Tammy, Brenda, John Jr. (Kara), Douglas, Hillary; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John, Leo, and Max; sister Evelyn (George) Bruneau; and many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by her long-time companion William (Bill) Lechman. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Caroline Johnson; brothers, Albert, Richard, William, Anthony, Gilbert and Joseph; her twin sister Irene; and five sisters who died in infancy. Many thanks to all the devoted homecare workers, especially Irene. Viewing will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald St. Rev. Father Ron Leger presiding. Interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery on Archibald St. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
