JEAN FLATT March 24, 1918- March 23, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and beloved wife of the late Adam Flatt. She was predeceased by her husband Adam in 1987 and brothers, Peter and John Patrick and sister Jessie Skolny. Left to cherish her memory is one son Allan and his wife Eunice; one daughter Audrey and her husband Kenneth Fushtey; four grandchildren, Wesley Flatt (Tracey Hargreaves), Wade Flatt (Barbara), Tamara Fushtey of Ottawa (fiance Dr. Bryce Henderson), Lindsay Fushtey; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Dylan Flatt; sister Nellie Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was born and raised in the R.M. of Springfield, married Adam and moved to East Kildonan where she resided for 61 years. She was actively involved in her familys lives. Her greatest joy was spent at family gatherings and spending time with her children and their families. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Jean Zurcher (her guardian angel) for her love and support to the entire family. The family also wishes to extend their thank you to the staff on 3E at Riverview Health Center for their excellent care, kindness and support. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Center, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4. To love a Mom and then to part, Is the greatest trial of the human heart. Years of striving, little of play, Loving, giving the whole of the way. A cherished smile, a heart of gold, Happy memories are treasured ever, Of happy days when we were together. With aching hearts we whisper low, God Bless you Mother, we will miss you so. Father in Heaven, hear our prayer, Guard our Mother with tender care. Be a good shepherd, dont leave her alone, Love her as we loved her, When she was here at home. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
