STEPHEN SLOBODA On March 23, 2002 at Riverview Health Care Centre, Mr. Stephen Sloboda, aged 79. Mr. Sloboda was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1996. Steve was a lifetime resident of East Kildonan and a retired Air Canada employee. His memory will be cherished by his son Ronald (Candide) of St. Albert, AB and his daughter Linda (Paul) Cerilli; grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew and Christine and Christopher. Steve is survived by his sister Mrs. Jean Peters of Florida, and her family. He was predeceased by his sister Mrs. Nettie Titarniuk, and survived by her family. Dad enjoyed nature. He liked fishing and duck hunting and delighted in trips to Grand Beach with Mom throughout the years. He took pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren which would not have been possible without the support of two caring parents. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. The family would like to thank Dads Palliative Care Team and all the support staff at Riverview for sharing their humour and providing comfort. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
