EVA MAY BOWMAN (nee LYONS) (June 11, 1911) On March 25, 2002 Eva Bowman, beloved wife of the late Charles Bowman, much loved mother of Pat (Jack Scrimgeour), Stewart (Joan), Wayne (Bonnie) and Lois (Frank Richl) and proud grandmother to Rob, Alison and Sandy (Angela) Dale, Vicki (Jeff Kerr) and Karen Bowman, Lindsay Bowman, great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Danny Kerr. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Hazel Lyons and numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Eva was a graduate of Kelvin Technical High School and the Old Victoria Hospital School of Nursing. She was a hard working member of the Nurses Alumnae, through which she maintained enduring and endearing friendships. Eva was a member of Crescent Fort Rouge United Church as were her parents, (Robert and Hattie Lyons, predeceased). All her active life she and Charlie were involved in various church activities and functions. Eva was a loyal member of the Church Choir for many years. Hillside Beach provided a special summer home for Eva from childhood to her eighties, when her failing health made travel difficult. She cherished family gatherings with all members of the Lyons Clan at the community beach property. On behalf of our mother/grandmother, we would like to thank the staff of Charleswood Care Centre for their compassionate care over the past three and one half years. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church Memorial Fund, 535 Wardlaw Ave. Winnipeg R3L 0L9 or to a charity of your choice. At her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Thursday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Pat Wotton and Evas nephew Rev.
