Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA HANCHAR On Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Victoria General Hospital, Stella Hanchar, aged 92 years, of Winnipeg, and formerly of Arborg, MB. Stella was born in Hatyczyna, Powid, Zbaraz, Poland on December 25, 1909. She came to Canada with her parents and settled in Okno, MB. She had seven brothers and one sister. Stella married Sam Hanchar in May 1925 and raised their family. Stella was one of Jehovahs Witnesses baptized in 1957. She served Jehovah God faithfully, she had faith that someday she will be resurrected into the paradise earth where ever lasting life will be to time indefinite. John chapter 5, verses 28 and 29 reads this way "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement." Surviving to mourn her loss, her children, Frances Buck of Campbell River, BC, Walter (Tessie) of Winnipeg, Helen (Leonard) Hudjik of Calgary, AB, Paul (Nodeen) of Winnipeg; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Katie) Barylski and Mike Barylski. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Charlie Buck; five brothers, Pete, Andrew, Mathew, Walter, Frank; and one sister Mary Glowach. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Mr. Tom Didur will officiate, with interment to follow in the Arborg Community Cemetery. The family wish to express sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their excellent care and to the paramedics and ambulance staff for their prompt service.
