Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORNE HILDOR SCHNURR With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lorne Hildor Schnurr on Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 66 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years Loraine; daughters, Debbie Flood of North Bay, ON, Noreen (Steve) OGorman of Winnipeg, and Lori (Kirby) Garnier of Sydney, NS; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tanya, Natasha, Stephen and Melissa; mother-in-law Meryl Martin; sisters, Hilda (Paul) Schira, Sandy (Swede) Olson, Joan, Bonnie (Trevor) brother Donald (Barb) Schnurr along with numerous other family members. He was predeceased by his son Lorne (Doonie) mother Walterina; father Martin; step-mother Kathleen; son-in-law Terry Flood; father-in-law Bill Martin; brother Mel, his wife Shirley; and sister-in-law Wilma Huff. Dad was born in Okla, SK on October 12, 1936. He grew up in Saskatchewan and joined the army at the age of 17 years. He served in the army for 23 years and then worked for 13 years as a security supervisor at the Health Sciences Centre until his retirement due to illness. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve OGorman, Wayne Martin, Kelly Huff, Lorne Huff, Donald Schnurr and Bud Bibeau. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 3 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A viewing will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Cremation will follow. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff at U3, Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Lornes memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
