DOROTHY ANNE LAWSON (nee PARK) Anne passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a true friend. Anne leaves to mourn her husband David; sons, Michael and Andrew (Melanie) five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Robert "Bob" (Lisa) of Victoria, BC; sisters, Mary Latimer of Richmond, ON., Jeanne (Don) Robertson of Parry Sound, ON.; sisters-in law, Marion Warner of Beaminster, Dorset, England, Moyra Park of Portage la Prairie, MB.; many nephews and nieces and dear friend Sally. Anne was predeceased by her parents; a brother David 1913 in Elkhorn, MB., John 1993 and Charles (Beau) in 1982 in Winnipeg. Anne was born in Byng Inlet, ON, January 21, 1922, the daughter of Archdeacon Robert and Dorothy Park. In 1923 the family moved to the Rectory of St. Cuthberts Anglican Church, Elmwood, Winnipeg. Anne received her education at Lord Selkirk, St. Johns Tech and St. Johns College. In 1939 she was employed as a dictaphone typist at Canada Packers, St. Boniface, on the order desk, where she worked until November 1946 when she left for England to marry David an RAF boy whom she had met during one of his visits to Winnipeg from the Air Navigation School, Portage la Prairie in 1943. They returned to Winnipeg in 1953 and had resided in West St. Paul since 1954. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the 4th floor, unit 5 and the 5th floor, unit 4 for their care and compassion. A special thank you to her nephew Jeff Park "Duff" and Elsie for their kindness and thoughtfulness over the years. "Thank you sweetheart for 55 years of true happiness". Cremation has taken place, no service will be held. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9 would have been appreciated by Anne.
