Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED GUSTAV LANDEN Suddenly, on April 2, 2002, after a lengthy illness Alfred Gustav Landen, beloved father of Linda Cooper (Bob) grandfather of Elizabeth, Bobby, Alicia, and Emily; brother of Leslie Landen (Evelyn), and Ruth Cordileone (Bert) uncle to Andrew, Ian (Sue), Laurel (Mac), Mark (Cathy) Lisa (Bert) and Marlene. Alfred was predeceased by his brother Gunnar; his mother Olga; his father Axel; and his wife Josephine. Alfred was born in Winnipeg on June 21, 1919, and was raised in Alpine, MB (near Swan River). He served in the Armed Forces during the war as a musician and later in the ordinance corps where he was stationed in England, Holland and various other locations across Europe. After the war, Al trained as a carpenter and worked in the construction industry for many years. He enjoyed a long retirement filled with family and friends. Al enjoyed music, gardening, and poetry, believing that poetry was a way to share his thoughts and memories with others. Fr. Michael K. Koryluk presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Donations can be made in Als name to the charity of your choice.
