Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE MAZUR It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of our beloved father and Gigi, Leslie Mazur on April 3, 2002 at Red River Place, at the age of 91. He was born on March 16, 1911 to the late Frank and Katie Mazur. He married the late Dora (nee Chopek) on October 22, 1933. They farmed together in Kirkness and later in East Selkirk until they retired from farming about 1972. When able, he loved to walk, dance, fish and tend to his lawn and garden, and always enjoyed his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dora; son Walter; granddaughter Irene; and great granddaughter Melissa; brothers, Harry and Steve; and sisters, Sophie, Annie and Nettie. He is survived by his son Raymond (Joanne) daughter Pauline (Fred Husak) and daughter Bernice (Michael Tassano) daughter-in-law Hazel; grandchildren, Diane, Ann, Linda, Perry, Louise, Leonard, Lawrence, Theodore, Randy, Wendy, Rhonda, Jennie, Greg, Lee Loni and Jason; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Emily Romanic; brother Paul (Mary) Mazur; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk on Monday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anne Manikel officiating. The family would like to thank all the staff at Red River Place and Dr. Lindenschmidt who provided such caring and compassionate care over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your own choice. GILBART FUNERAL HOME, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
