Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETRUS (PIET, PETE) WAGEMAKERS April 19, 1931 - March 30, 2002 Suddenly, on March 30, 2002, in his beloved winter locale of San Benito, Texas. Piet is survived by his beloved wife Tonny and his much loved children, Els (Robert), Anja (Gerald), John (Shirley), Ray (Sherri). He will be greatly missed by his adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing are his brothers, Tony (Betty), John, and his sisters, Sjaan (Reinhard), Corrie and Nettie (Peter). Piet served for six years with the Royal Dutch Navy. He immigrated to Canada in 1960 with his beautiful young wife and children. Piet had a long and satisfying career as a power quality engineer. He especially enjoyed his position as maintenance supervisor with Ogilvie Mills until his retirement. After retirement, Piet and Tonny spent their winters in Texas where Piet was affectionately known as "the governor". These extended winter vacations were Piets dream that brought back his youth to him. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. "Ik hou van jou, Piet." We love you, Dad and Opa. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane, 222-3241 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Piets memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
