HELEN LACHOWICH (nee FEDOROWICH) Peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Deer Lodge Centre, Helen Lachowich passed away at the age of 76. She will be greatly missed by her son Darcy and wife Susan Lachowich of Winnipeg; daughter Cindy and husband Vern Woof, and two granddaughters Tamara and Caitlin Woof all from Thompson, MB; brother Edward Fedorowich and wife Mary from Killarney, MB; brother Nick Fedorowich and wife Helen of Sault Ste. Marie, ON; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends. Helen was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1999; her father George in 1973; and mother Mary in 1958; brothers, Joe Fedorowich, Frank Fedorowich, Stan Fedorowich; sisters, Anne Ursel, Sophie Dyni and Jean Johnson. Helen was born June 18, 1925, in Morweena, MB. She resided the last five years at Deer Lodge Centre. Helen was a very kind and caring wife, mother and grandmother. It was her strong will and determination that gave Helen a zest for life that everyone around her admired. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff for their professional care and personal touch. Funeral services will be held in the Worship Centre at the Deer Lodge Centre on Monday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a reception in the Solarium Room following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helens name and will be gratefully accepted at the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0L3.
