ANNA BRAUN 1904 - 2002 On April 4, 2002 at 4:20 a.m., Anna Braun, age of 97, of the Salem Home, Winkler, formerly of Plum Coulee, passed away peacefully with some of her family at her bedside. She was predeceased by her husband John L. Braun in 1972, one infant daughter, one son-in-law, five brothers, three sisters and their spouses, and one great-grandson. She will be sadly missed by her children: four daughters and five sons, John and wife Louise Braun of Winnipeg, Ann Kehler of Winkler, Isaac Braun of Winkler, Mary and husband Bob Schroeder of Winkler, William and wife Marie Braun of Winnipeg, Margaret and husband Edgar Loeppky of Altona, Peter and wife Betty Braun of Winnipeg, Katherine and husband Henry Dueck of Lowe Farm, Harry and wife Ella Braun of Neepawa; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brother Jacob and his wife and two brothers-in-law. Mother lived a quiet contented life. The family will remember her first and foremost for her gentleness, kindness, generosity, humour, and familial devotion. Viewing will be Saturday, April 6, 1:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be Sunday April 7, 2:30 p.m. at Winkler Sommerfeld Mennonite Church. Interment will follow at Plum Coulee Cemetery.
