MARY BEHNKE Peacefully on April 5, 2002 at St. Josephs Residence, Mary Sophie Behnke passed away at the age of 89 years. She was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1927. She married her husband Louis in 1935. They spent many happy years together raising their family. She supported her husband in his business and took great pride in her home and garden. She loved her apple trees in the back yard and was always baking apple pies for her grandchildren. She was very devoted to her family and was an active member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Parish. She was an honorary life member of the C.W.L. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters in Poland. Her husband Louis was deceased in 1997. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Robert (Judy) daughter Jenett (Bill) Boyko; her grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Boyko, Paul Behnke, Donna (Tim) Moran; and great-grandson Andrew. We would like to thank the staff and volunteers of St. Josephs Residence for the kind and compassionate care given to mother. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at St. Josephs Residence, 1149 Leila Ave., on Tuesday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
