(also known as Dadin Red Thunderbird) Suddenly on April 7, 2002 at Ebb-n-Flow, MB Douglas George Louie Sumner, aged 23 years, of Lake Manitoba First Nation. Douglas was born July 18, 1978 in Eriksdale, MB. Dadin was to be married on August 3, 2002. His favourite pastime was hunting and spending time with his nephews Martin, Blain, Chevy and Mitchell. Dadin leaves to mourn his son Kirk Anton Douglas Maytwayashing, age 7; his fiance Charlene Doris Houle of Ebb-n-Flow, FN; father George Douglas Bjorn Sumner Sr. and wife Sheila; siblings, Cynthia Racette and husband Darrel Swan, Glenda Racette, Tiffany Campeau, Colton Sumner, Corey Sumner, Tessa Sumner; grandparents, Gertrude Mousseau, Mary Jane Racette, his longtime friend Vernon Paul, many aunts, uncles and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother Marlene Mary Julia Racette in 1981; great-grandparents, Louis Racette, Andrew Sumner, Alice Sumner; grandfather George Mousseau, and uncle Louis Racette (Smokey), and aunt Marie Mousseau. Wake service will be held at the residence of Douglas Sr. and Sheila Sumner on Lake Manitoba FN on Thursday, April 11 beginning at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12 at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church with Fr.r Mike Nwosu officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba Reserve Cemetery. Honourary Pallbearers will be Richard St. Paul, Darrel Swan, Curtis Maytwayashing.
