Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT EDWARD FOWLE SR. It is with sadness that we announce the death of Robert Edward Fowle Sr. on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at the Victoria General Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lynne; son Robert Jr. and his wife Estelle and his much cherished granddaughter Erin. He is also survived by his sister Ethel Beaton of Saskatoon and nephews and nieces, Darryl Beaton, Roger Gateson (Jane), Doug Gateson Jr. (Irene) and Barb Charlton (Murray). Dad was born in Australia and came to Canada as a small child. He entered the R.C.A.F. and served proudly in Germany as a Flight Lieutenant. After the war, Dad continued to serve in the R.C.A.F. until his retirement. He then took employment at CAE Industries Ltd. and the Kiwanis Centre for the Deaf where he diligently performed his duties, till his second retirement at the age of 75. Dad was most happy when tending to his vegetable and flower gardens or constructing and repairing anything in sight. He was extremely proud of the cottage at Sandy Hook which he built and remodelled with his own two hands. The family wish to thank the staff of the Victoria Hospital, 5th floor, for their kind attention to Dad and family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dads life will be held on Friday, April 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St., with Roger Gateson, nephew, presiding.
