Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryORTON (DAVE) SUTHERLAND September 24, 1924- April 10, 2002 David Sutherland peacefully passed into eternal rest at the Peguis Senior Center, Wednesday, April 10, 2002. He was born at the Peguis First Nation on September 24, 1924. Our dad was a fisherman, a trapper, and a hunter. He always maintained a beautiful lawn and garden. He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Robert (Loreen) Delorme, Don (Gwen) Sutherland; daughters, Elsie Gunn and Virginia (Ed) Quinlin; brother, Percy Sutherland; and numerous nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. David was predeceased by his wife, Marie Madeline on July 13, 1985; sons, Phillip on March 29, 1996, and Paul and Elvis in infancy; mother, Bella; father, Jack; sisters, Pearl Stevenson, Annie Stevenson, Evelyn Flett, Sarah Manningway, Lena Hall and Mary Wilson; and his brother, John Sutherland. Prayers will be held on Friday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m, to 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the All Saints Anglican Church, in Peguis, MB, with Rev. Barry Bear and Rev. Wesley Barrett officiating. Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Peguis Senior Center staff, the Peguis First Nation Chief and Council, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Favel, Brenda Cook, and to Daves daughter-in-law, Gwen.
