Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILLIP LAZARENKO Peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Concordia Hospital with his family by his side. Phil was predeceased by his mother May Lazarenko. Left to cherish his memory are wife Leona (nee Solomon) daughter Megan and son-in-law Cory; son David and Colleen McRobbie; father Peter; sister Sandra (Clint) brother Richard (Mary-Louise) mother-in-law Anne Solomon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Phil was born on May 18, 1941 in Winnipeg, MB. His working life was centred on the family businesses, which were devoted to Northern Manitoba. Having a deep respect for the culture, traditions and people of the north, he and his father worked together in all aspects of the family businesses. His particular achievement was developing Northland Petroleum Ltd. His happiest moments were spent at home, at the summer cottage and in Palm Springs surrounded by family and friends. He thrived on sharing the company of his children and their friends, always making them welcome and taking pride in their successes. Above all, Phil was a kind and gentle person, a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed by us all. Special thanks to Dr. Carey Isaac for his care and compassion as well as the wonderful staff and nurses (Marie, Janina and Katherin) at Concordia Hospital. A celebration of Phils life will be held on Monday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Honorary pallbearers are Derek Lazarenko, Travis Blahitka, Glenn Rossong, Gilbert Rossong, Gary Rossong, Brian Kuypers, Frank Summers and Ed Spiwak.
